Business Development Position

n-gen People Performance Inc.n-gen’s unique expertise is to help clients demonstrate organizational engagement in order to increase engagement of their multigenerational teams; by maximizing the skill sets of all four generations (Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers and Gen Ys), while managing the differences. We are a small boutique company that works virtually. Besides two managing partners, the ngen team includes a part-time operations support person and three contract facilitators. We are seeking an efficient business development professional who is versatile, intellectually curious and wants to be part of a growing company. While strong collaboration skills are necessary, so is the ability to work independently from home.

Partial List of Activities & Duties:
Responsibilities include:

  • Desktop publishers / instructional designers (contract)

  • Coordinators with experience in professional services firms (part-time leading to full-time)

  • Facilitators (experienced / part-time) Manage full sales cycle from contact to close

  • Achieve (or exceed) assigned sales quota

  • Responsible for building relationships with current and potential clients

  • Identify new customers and establish relationships by generating new business
    opportunities with existing customer base

  • Identify business needs and potential solutions to solve new clients' business challenges

  • Creating a biz dev plan for each quarter and executing on that plan – tracking in Sales Force
    and producing monthly summary reports of sales activities

  • Attend networking functions to source new potential clients

  • Keep abreast of new market areas, trends and directions

  • Assist / participante in n-gen marketing events to increase brand awareness and establish
    new contacts

  • Manage/direct input responses to RFQ's and RFP's and RFI's

  • Monitor & develop government supplier relationships (e.g. MERX etc)

  • Prepare and deliver presentation/demos to clients

  • Assist in the buidling of the biz dev role at n-gen People Performance Inc.
    recommending process improvements)

  • Variety of other sales and sales-related activities as the business grows

You are entrepreneurial, great at building relationships over the phone and in person. You enjoy finding the right solution for a client’s challenge, and approach each client as a partner. You are interested in learning the unique features and benefits of n-gen’s products and services, to increase your ability to sell successfully.

Other desired qualities include:

  • effective communication skills – written and verbal
  • strong, rational decision-making
  • customer / client service orientation
  • previous sales experience is required
  • exposure to training products / professional consulting services is preferred
Position is Toronto based, requires travel only within the GTA

Start date: Immediate

Small base to cover admin duties, plus generous commission
